Regularly rated as one of the best 10k races in the South, the Givaudan Ashford 10k is back for it's 29th year and we are all looking forward to making this the best year yet! The race follows a town centre route along closed roads with a start and finish in the magnificent Julie Rose Athletics Stadium in Ashford. The course, whilst slightly undulating, is considered fast - so whether runners are looking to run their first 10K, looking for a good 10K time or simply looking to enjoy the experience of running a town centre race, the Givaudan Ashford 10K is for them.
Bringing back memories of Aylesham’s 10 mile and half marathon past, this new 10 mile route will be a great addition to the running calendar. A scenic route around the local countryside in a friendly, fun event.
**PLUS - kids fun races and activities - Bring the whole family!**.
A chance to see the often undiscovered countryside in the county, whilst enjoying a quality run.
The events will include 75m (u11), 100m, 200m, 400m, 600m (u11), 800m, 1500m and 5000m/5k. The event is fully permitted by UKA with results being sent to the Power of 10 and UKA. Electronic timing with photo finish equipment.
**Normally a road runner - think track is for elite only? Wrong, it is for all and we will be having 2 heats in the 5000m/5k ensuring everyone has an enjoyable race**
Each event is fully graded by ability, making sure you get the best possible race - great for achieving that new PB! Great for beginners too!!
The ever popular Wingham 10k returns for its 28th year.
A particularly scenic route around the beautiful east Kent countryside. Starting out at the Recreation Ground in Wingham the route follows quiet country roads taking in some of the prettiest villages in Kent. It is undulating and has in the past produced some quick times, so PBs really are possible!
