Now in its third year, this event is proving popular and has sold out the last two years. Join us for the Saxon Shore Half Marathon along the lovely seafronts of Herne Bay and Whitstable. Once again we have teamed up with CC Productions to bring you some great bands and music - at several points along the course, so bring your friends and family and get ready for one of the best running events in Kent.

About the event

The majority of the route is along the seafront from Herne Bay to Whitstable and in most part is fairly flat and fast, making it ideal for beginners or those looking for a quick time.

For competitors and supporters the King's Hall is the Event HQ, with an outdoor events village overlooking the start and finish. Hot and cold drinks and food, live music and commentary. It's the local race along by the sea with the big city feel!!

As with all of our events we organise, we will be using the very latest electronic chip timing. The event is fully licensed and certified with all results being submitted to runbritain rankings and the Power of 10.

 

There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female,1st male and female VET40, 50 and 60 and a team prize (three to score).

Advanced entries: £24 affiliated club members, £26 unaffiliated
On-the-day (subject to space): £35


Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age for running in the event is 17 years on the day.
